State of the Union gives students pockets a break

Barak Obama and his speech hit home with me on Wednesday night. The speech was the usual yearly speech but this State of the Union I felt talked about creating jobs, jobs, jobs wether it is creating more jobs in the U.S. by giving businesses an incentive to hire more fellow Americans, or with california and its going green phase is hiring many unemployed. Regardless the job market, what got my attention was when Barak Obama started talking about passing a community college bill to lower costs because community colleges is a very viable option for high school students these days. The president also spoke on passing a bill where Graduate students from college will only have to pay ten percent of their income for their student loans for only a period of 20 years, and if you work for the government the payment time is cut in half. If he passes this bill it would save a lot of grad students money with their loans because, “no one should go broke paying for colleges”.  This is a great idea, from his administration and I believe his student approval ratings will go up instead of down if all this good and fluffy (politics) stuff gets done.
